Family-owned, installer-run
Colorado’s Best Windows & Doors, Inc. was founded in Franktown in 2022 by co-owners Fred and Whitney Matthies — thirty years of window experience between them, most of it on the install side. The idea was simple: excellent product, sold honestly, then installed by people who answer to the owners, not to a subcontract.
So the company is built around the install. We keep the crew small and permanent, we measure what we install, and we turn down work when the calendar is full rather than hand it to whoever is available.

Fred Matthies
Co-owner · 22 years in the window business
Fred has spent more than two decades in windows and doors — product, measurement, and the details that separate a good install from a callback. He’s the reason our proposals are specific and our openings are flashed properly. Reach Fred at 303-907-0909.
Whitney Matthies
Co-owner · 8 years in sales, installation and hiring
Whit runs the day-to-day: he’s usually the one at your kitchen table for the consultation, he has installed alongside the crew, and he hires and trains every installer we put in your house. Call him directly — 720-675-1609.
What we stand behind
Licensed and insured in Colorado; we pull permits where required and schedule the inspections.
Manufacturer-trained. Installed per Marvin and Milgard specifications, so your product warranty holds.
Workmanship warranty in writing, on top of the manufacturer’s.
Local. Franktown, Colorado — Douglas County. If there’s ever an issue, you’re calling the person who did the work, and we’re twenty minutes away.
Where we work
South Metro and the foothills, mainly: Castle Pines, Castle Rock, Parker, Franktown, Elizabeth, Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, Greenwood Village, Cherry Hills Village, Centennial, Littleton, Denver, Golden, Evergreen, Monument and north Colorado Springs. Larger projects farther out are welcome — ask.
