Which window, honestly
There are three decisions that actually change the outcome: the material, the operation, and whether we replace the full frame or set an insert in the existing one. Everything else — grille patterns, hardware finish, glass coatings — is detail we’ll walk through at your kitchen table with samples.
We install Marvin (Signature, Elevate, Essential), Milgard and other leading manufacturers. We are not tied to one line, so the recommendation is about your house, not our rebate.
Materials
Fiberglass — our default for most Colorado homes. Expands at the same rate as glass, so seals last through −10° nights and 95° afternoons. Paintable, narrow frames, 30-year outlook.
Wood & aluminum-clad wood — for custom and mountain homes where the interior is stained wood and the exterior takes a beating. Marvin Signature territory.
Vinyl — we’ll install it when the budget calls for it, and we’ll tell you where it doesn’t belong (large spans, dark colors in full sun).

Casement & awning
Crank-out, tightest seal of any operating window — the right choice for wind-exposed walls and anything you want to open above a counter.
Double-hung & single-hung
Traditional look, both sashes tilt in for cleaning. Good fit for older homes and anywhere the exterior architecture calls for divided lites.
Picture & direct-set
Fixed glass for the view. We regularly set units over eight feet wide — with the crew and equipment to do it safely.
Sliders
Simple, economical, and right for wide openings where an outswing would hit a walkway or a deck rail.
Specialty shapes
Arched tops, circles, trapezoids and gable windows, matched to existing openings or designed new.
Bay & bow
Projected units with proper roof, insulation and support — not a cantilevered afterthought.

Full-frame or insert?
Full-frame replacement removes the old window down to the rough opening. We inspect and repair the framing, install new flashing and sill pan, and set the new unit exactly as the manufacturer specifies. It’s the right answer when the existing frames are rotted, out of square, or when you want to change the size or style.
Insert (pocket) replacement leaves a sound existing frame in place and sets a new unit inside it. Less disruption, less cost, slightly less glass. We recommend it when the frame is truly sound — and we’ll show you, not tell you.
Both are done by the same crew that measured your house.
Glass for Colorado
At 6,000 feet the sun is stronger and the nights are colder. We spec low-E coatings by elevation and orientation — a south-facing great room in Castle Pines doesn’t get the same glass as a north bedroom in Evergreen. Argon fill, warm-edge spacers, and laminated or tempered glass where code or noise calls for it.
